GEARMASTER ECO 680

GEARMASTER ECO 680

Rapidly biodegradable gear oils based on synthetic ester

Description

GEARMASTER ECO oils are environmentally harmless synthetic ester-based gear and hydraulic oils with a wide application range. GEARMASTER ECO oils offer outstandig protection against fretting and micropitting. They reduce friction and wear and optimize the starting behaviour of gearboxes in the long term, especially at low temperatures. At the same time the economic availability and efficiency are increased.

Fields of application

GEARMASTER ECO oils are recommended for the lubrication of spur, bevel, planetary and worm gears particularly in the food processing and packaging and beverage industries, but also for machinery operated in protected water zones up to temperatures of 90 °C. Furthermore they are used for gear drives where ground and surface water are endangered in the event of a leakage. The low viscosity grades can also be used as hydraulic oils.

Method of application

In general GEARMASTER ECO oils are miscible with mineral oils and polyalphaolefins. In case of a changeover the gear should be completely emptied and flushed. Please note the changeover guidelines as per VDMA 24569 and our Technical Information sheet with regard to the changeover from mineral oil-based to synthetic, ester oil-based gear oils. GEARMASTER ECO oils have excellent cleaning properties in gears with deposits and sludge and prevent a re-contamination. We recommend paints based on two components and sealing materials resistant to hydrolysis.

Note

GEARMASTER ECO oils surpass the specifications laid down in DIN 51 517, part 3, and the minimum requirements as per VDMA guideline 24568.
