GLEITMO RLC 3100
2-component water based PTFE solid film lubricant
Description
gleitmo RLC 3100 is an air drying 2-component solid film lubricant having PTFE as a constituent for lubrication efficiency. The product forms a dry lubricating film, which is distinguished by its excellent lubricating effect and high degree of abrasion resistance. gleitmo RLC 3100 is largely resistant to mineral oils and fuels.
Fields of application
gleitmo RLC 3100 is used for the lubrication of rubbers and polymers materials. gleitmo RLC 3100 shows excellent adhesion behaviour on many materials. gleitmo RLC 3100 can be coloured with colour additives from the “gleitmo Colour” range in order to achieve coloured coatings on o-rings.
Method of application
The parts to be coated must be thoroughly degreased with a solvent. The component 1 (K1) should be stirred well before use.
Mixing ratio: 100 parts [wt%] gleitmo RLC 3100 K1
2 parts [wt%] gleitmo RLC 3100 K2
The mixture (K1+K2) can be thinned with water according to the application requirements.
Pot life: It is recommended to use the batch within a range of 3h.
Coating is carried out by spraying or using the dipping method (mass ware). In order to achieve quicker drying and improved adhesion of the coating, preheating of the parts to about 70-80 °C before coating has proved to be effective.
