GLEITMO SFL 9540

GLEITMO SFL 9540

Heat-curing MoS2 solid film lubricant

Description

gleitmo SFL 9540 is a selected combination of solid lubricants, organic binders and solvents. Upon curing, gleitmo SFL 9540 forms a dry, solid film lubricant firmly adhering, resistant to oil, to solvents and to high pressures, with corrosion protection, applicable over a wide range of temperatures. In the area of boundary and mixed friction, gleitmo SFL 9540 supports an oil or grease lubrication outstandingly well.

Fields of application

gleitmo SFL 9540 improves running in conditions, protection against surface damage and wear especially at high pressures and low sliding speeds. In many cases, lifetime lubrication is possible.

Typical Applications: Gear wheels, bearing bushes, pivot pins, plain bearing axles, special steel fitting components, chain parts, wearing rings and locking disks, large threaded connections, ceramic parts, sliding parts exposed to high temperatures.

Method of application

The parts to be coated should be thoroughly degreased. The surface should be dry for application of gleitmo SFL 9540. To increase the adhesive strength, and therefore the lifetime, pre-treatment of the surfaces is recommended by phosphatising or sand-blasting. In order to achieve quicker drying and improved adhesion of the coating, pre-heating of the parts to about 80-120 °C before coating has proved to be effective.

Note

Stir well before use!
Shelf-life: 18 month in closed original containers at room temperature.
